Corporate Profile

Founded in 2004, NewsGallery is an online media release publishing and distribution platform that allows registered Publishers to prepare a media release using an innovative Microsoft Word template, in an offline session, and then upload the media release to www.newsgallery.com.au. The Publisher is then guided through a simple process that generates a journalist distribution list tailored to the media release. This includes selecting relevant Media Subject Categories, Media Types and Media Distribution Regions. Upon approval of the content, and either entering a prepaid code of credit card payment and processing, the Publisher’s media release will be:

  • Published to the NewsGallery index page
  • Published to a dedicated page on the NewsGallery website
  • Published to a secured PDF and sent to the Publisher for inclusion on their own website
  • Converted to an HTML or text based email and distributed via email to selected journalists, editors, and newsrooms throughout Australia
NewsGallery.com.au is a low cost, value for money (AUD$55 per media release, inc. GST) alternative to "standing at the fax machine" for hours.

NewsGallery.com.au sends targeted media releases by subject, rapidly distributes them and delivers to Publishers the benefits of maximum reach to Australian media outlets. This increases their opportunities for media coverage in print, radio, TV and online. The media release is published online in a way that increases the likelihood that the media release will be read, enhancing business opportunities for the Publisher.

NewsGallery won a Yellow Pages Business Ideas Grant (South Australia) in 2004 and in the same year was awarded a Commercialising Emerging Technology (COMET) Grant by the Australian Government. This has assisted the company in finalising development of its unique search-integrated, Word-enabled Media Release Template and keyword media selection system. Both of these developments are subject to Provisional Patents applications worldwide.
